He hung up his sailing boots and moved to Australia in 2008, worked as a Marine Surveyor and is currently the Director of Charles Taylor Marine Technical Services. He has been involved in conducting numerous types of surveys, including damage surveys, risk assessments, Marine Warranty Surveys, and investigations and handling of major hull and cargo losses for P&I Clubs and H & M Insurers.
He has qualified as a Master Mariner, holds a diploma in Loss Adjusting and is also an Associate Member of the Association of Average Adjusters.
"With the losses in containerized cargo, we frequently come across the issue of the cargo not being packed to withstand the ordinary incidents of the insured transit as per ICC(A). So, what are the factors and forces that containers are subjected to during transit? Based on my sailing experience, that’s what I wanted to talk about as that’s not something most people ashore would have experienced.
This session will also be available via Zoom.
