Melbourne Marine Insurance Forum (MMIF) Code of Conduct

At MMIF we strive to create enjoyable and valuable events for all attendees. To ensure this, we've established the following Code of Conduct for all MMIF events.  Please take the time to read and familiarise yourself with our Code of Conduct.

1.     Scope and Agreement: This Code of Conduct applies to all events organised by the MMIF. By registering or attending, you agree to comply with this code and accept all its conditions.

2.     Compliance: Failure to adhere to this code may result in:

2.1.   ticket cancellation without refund (where applicable); and/or

2.2.   ejection from the event, and/or

2.3.   a ban from future MMIF events.

3.     Responsibility: The named ticket holder/member is accountable for the ticket's use, whether or not they are the actual attendee of the event.

4.     Venue Rules: Attendees must follow all venue-specific rules and regulations, whether verbal or written.

5.     Legal Compliance: All attendees must abide by federal, state, and local laws and bylaws regarding the use of the venue and behaviour at events.

6.     Prohibited Activities: The following will not tolerated:

6.1.   Aggressive, threatening and/or violent behaviour.

6.2.   Offensive language or conduct (including but not limited to sexist, racist or other demeaning language).

6.3.   Indecent exposure.

6.4.   Possession of weapons.

7.     Respect: Attendees must show respect and consideration to others, including venue staff and the general public. Rudeness and/or obscenities may lead to ejection.

8.     Non-Discrimination: We do not tolerate discrimination based on race, gender, appearance, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity and/or disability.

9.     Safety and Liability: While we ensure venue safety, MMIF is not responsible for personal loss, damage, theft, or injury. Attendees are accountable for their actions and any resulting consequences.

10.  Security: Venue security personnel have the authority to eject attendees who endanger others or breach this Code of Conduct.

By participating in our events, you contribute to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all. We appreciate your cooperation in making MMIF events an excellent experience for everyone.
