This will be a Q&A session in relation to the current state of the Marine market including insights into the recent AICLA Claims Conference, followed by drinks.

Capt. Sivakumaran Divakaran joined Chubb Insurance as Head of Transportation Risk Management, Asia Pacific in 2015. With over 25 years of experience in the marine industry, Capt. Siva served at sea for about 10 years mainly on-board general cargo and bulk carriers, as well as multi-purpose vessels and a short stint on an offshore drilling vessel.

Before joining Chubb, he was Principal Surveyor at an international survey and average adjusting firm, where he specialized in marine risk management through a spectrum of marine-related risk minimizing and prevention surveys including project cargo surveys, shipyard and port & terminals risk reviews. He also did surveys for various types of marine losses, representing (local and foreign) cargo, hull insurers and the Standard Club, a Protection and Indemnity Club (P&I Club), of which he was the P&I Correspondent from 2008 to 2015. Capt. Divakaran holds a C.O.C Class 1 Master Mariner (Unlimited - Foreign Going).
