After two outstanding presentation last year which were both well received by the industry the MMIF is happy to announce that the good Dr is back in the house with his latest presentation Titled "Practical technical mitigation measures for dealing with contaminated petroleum products and tracing liquid cargoes".

"One of the many potential ramification of COVID19 is the contamination of bulk liquid cargoes due to long term storage.  This is particularly acute for petroleum products where consumption globally has stalled, having a knock-on effect to the entire supply chain.  The first part of the presentation details some technical methods for the mitigation of potential cargo contamination losses due to long term storage, be that in shore-tanks or at sea.  The second part of the presentation deals with some new technology in the Marine Industry that provides a physical traceable link between a certificate of quality and the actual consignment of a liquid cargo.  This is particularly relevant to bunker fuels and also pollution controls."
